Abstract. This research aimed to determine which gives better learning achievement in the mathematics learning between model Project Based Learning (PjBL) with scientific approach and Problem Based Learning (PBL) with scientific approach. This research employed quasi experimental research. The subjects of this research were grade X MIPA students in SMA N 1 Seyegan Yogyakarta, academic year 2016/2017. The data gathering conducted on February-March 2017. This research instruments used were observations and tests. Technique of analyzing data used in this research was a one-way variance analysis with different cell. The result of the research showed that students are subject to PjBL model with scientific approach had a better learning achievement than students are subject to PBL model with scientific approach in mathematics learning of trigonometric materials. So, learning mathematics using the PjBL model with scientific approach gives better learning achievement than PBL with scientific approach.
