The Influence of Application Discovery Learning Model to The Higher Order Thinking Skills of Srijaya Negara Senior High School Palembang on Animal World

Abstract


This study aimed to obtain information concerning the influence of discovery learning model of the higher order thinking skill in the form of learning outcomes cognitive learners class X SMA Srijaya State Palembang on the material of the animal kingdom (Animalia). The method used is Pre-Experimental research design one-group pretest-posttest.The population in this study was the students of class X MIA 2 SMA Srijaya State Palembang academic year 2016/2017. Sampling using technique. purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using written tests, observation sheets, and sheets questionnaire responses. The data analysis program assisted by the Statistical Program for Social Science 22 (SPSS 22), which is using t-test. The results of the t-test obtained have a significance value 0,000 which means a significance value <0.05 so that discovery learning significantly influence high-level thinking skills. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the learning model discovery learning increase high-level thinking skills of students in class X senior high school Srijaya Negara Palembang on the material of the animal kingdom (Animalia).
