Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to know the effect of Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model with Snowball Drilling on mathematics achievement viewed from spatial intelligence. The type of this research was quasi experimental research. The population of this research was all students of the 8th grader of junior high school at Ngawi Regency in academic year 2016/2017. The sample had been chosen by stratified cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected by using documentary method, spatial intelligence test, and mathematics learning achievement test. The results showed that: (1) TAI learning model with Snowball Drilling makes better mathematics achievement than direct learning model, (2) Students with high spatial intelligence get better mathematics achievement than student with medium and low spatial intelligence, while students with medium spatial intelligence get better mathematics achievement than student with low spatial intelligence (3) For every learning model, students with high spatial intelligence get better mathematics learning achievement than students with medium and low spatial intelligence, while students with medium spatial intelligence get better mathematics learning achievement than students with low spatial intelligence, (4)  For every categories of spatial intelligence, TAI learning model with Snowball Drilling makes better mathematics learning achievement than direct learning model
